Function	Description
vm_gps_close	This function will close the GPS if it is not in use by any other application.
vm_gps_get_parameters	This function gets a GPS parameter.
vm_gps_open	This initializes the GPS and opens the UART port.
vm_gps_set_parameters	This function sets a GPS parameter.
